Free video and GIF tools

Make GIFs from videos or photos, extract audio and thumbnails, inspect video information and estimate file size for free. Files are processed in your browser.

Free without an account. Selected files and results are not uploaded to a server.

Need motion, sound or a single frame?

Choose GIF for short animations, audio extraction for sound, or thumbnails for a frame. Information tools show browser-exposed video details; the bitrate calculator estimates file size. Codec support, file-size and duration limits vary by tool.

Choosing a video tool

1Does a GIF include sound?

No. GIF is a silent animated image. Create one from a short video section or several photos. Use audio extraction if you need to save the sound separately.

2Is extracted audio saved as MP3?

Audio extraction currently saves 16-bit PCM WAV. The browser must support the file and audio codec. WAV can be larger than the compressed source audio.

3Does the size calculator compress my video?

No. It estimates size from duration and bitrate, or calculates a bitrate for a target size. It does not re-encode video, and the actual file size may differ.
