FREE BASE64 DECODER FAQ

Base64 decoder FAQ

Review formats, privacy, downloads, and limits.
1Can I decode Base64 with line breaks?

Yes. Spaces, tabs, and line breaks are removed before standard Base64 validation.

2Can it restore an image or PDF?

Yes. A Data URL uses its MIME extension; raw Base64 is downloaded safely as a BIN file.

3Why is some output not shown as text?

If the bytes are not valid UTF-8, the tool avoids damaged characters and offers the binary download instead.

4Does Base64 protect secret information?

No. Anyone can decode it, so Base64 must not be treated as encryption or privacy protection.
