SVG TO PNG FAQ

SVG to PNG questions

1Is conversion free, and are my files uploaded?

Yes, it is free without an account or a usage-count limit. Conversion happens in your browser; SVG and PNG files are not sent to a server. File-size and complexity limits protect device memory.

2Why are some SVG files rejected?

This tool supports static SVG made from basic shapes, text and internal references. Scripts, event handlers, external URLs, embedded images, filters, animation, style sheets, SVGZ and overly complex files are rejected. Export a compatible simple SVG or PNG from the original editor.

3Can I keep a transparent background?

Yes. Transparency is the default. The checkerboard only helps show transparency and is not included in the saved image. Choose a background color if you want an opaque result.

4Why can text look different from the original?

External web fonts are not downloaded; only installed fonts are used. A missing font is replaced. Converting text to outlines in the original editor can reduce differences. Unsupported effects are not silently stripped to produce a misleading result.

5How are aspect ratio and resolution determined?

Explicit SVG width and height take priority. If one or both are missing, a valid viewBox supplies the proportions. Output dimensions stay linked, with a 20-million-pixel and 16,384-pixel edge limit. The preview is reduced to at most 1,200 pixels; the PNG is saved at your chosen size.
