1Is the favicon generator free?
Yes. No account or usage-count limit is required. A 20 MB, 20-million-pixel and 16,384px-per-edge input limit protects browser memory.
2What is the difference between fit and fill?
Fit keeps the whole image and adds background space. Fill covers the square and may crop the edges around the center. Both preserve the original proportions.
3What does the ZIP contain?
An ICO containing 16, 32 and 48px PNG images, six PNGs at 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512px, site.webmanifest and HTML link tags. The manifest only declares icons; it is not a complete PWA configuration.
4Will my website or search icon change immediately?
No. Install the files and HTML on your own site first. Browser caching and search-engine recrawling may delay updates. This tool does not change ImGINIE’s own favicon.
