IMAGE COLOR PICKER FAQ

Image color picker questions

1Is this image color picker free?

Yes. No account or usage-count limit is required. Files are not uploaded; size limits protect browser memory.

2Does a smaller preview change the sampled color?

The preview is scaled for the screen, but a selected point is read from one pixel of the browser-decoded original image. Display settings, color profiles and browser color conversion can cause differences from other applications.

3What do palette percentages mean?

A sample of up to 256×256 pixels is grouped by similar RGB values, excluding alpha below 128. Up to eight most frequent colors are shown. Percentages describe that visible sample, not exact original-image coverage or print colors. They may total less than 100% because other colors are omitted.

4Are transparency and CMYK supported?

Point opacity is shown separately and in RGBA. RGB from a fully transparent pixel is not a meaningful visible color, and transparent pixels are excluded from the palette. This is a browser RGB tool, not a CMYK print-analysis or color-profile guarantee.
